Ontario eServices Program Leading Digital Health Initiatives
Introducing an Improved Digital Health Experience
The Ontario eServices Program is a provincial program, funded by Ontario Health (OH) and is co-led by the eHealth Centre of Excellence (ehealthce.ca) and the eConsult Centre of Excellence (econsultontario.ca).
The eHealth Centre of Excellence is supporting the development and adoption of coordinated access and eReferral in Ontario.
The eConsult Centre of Excellence is housed in the Ottawa Hospital in partnership with the Bruyère Research Institute and supports the development and adoption of eConsult in Ontario as well as the research and evaluation of the Ontario eServices program.
Working closely with system and community partners, our program is developing integrated end-to-end eReferral & eConsult strategies focused on connecting primary care clinicians to available specialists and programs while improving communication between clinicians and patients.
Our Mission
We work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate the integration of eConsult, eReferral, eOrdering and eForms across Ontario using a consistent provincial framework.
This framework facilitates tailoring to local and regional needs and communities of practice and supports improvement in both the patient and provider experience. We include patients in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the program.
Our Vision
People in Ontario will have informed choices for equitable and timely access to specialists and specialty services and smoother, safer transitions in care using digital tools that improve communication between patients and their caregivers.
